Alex Garside

Executive Summary

Alex has more than 24 years of experience in public accounting serving both public and private clients in the US and UK. She has provided accounting, auditing, and consulting services for large and mid-sized publicly held and private corporations engaged in various industries including natural resources (upstream, midstream, downstream including oil and gas, oilfield services, storage, energy trading, refining, renewables and mining), manufacturing, and private equity, including investment funds.

Alex is the BDO Global Oil and Gas leader and US Natural Resources Industry leader and is also a member of BDO’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Team as an Assurance Hub leader where she is focused on leading, developing and providing BDO’s ESG attestation services for the middle-market.

Her client experience includes serving companies with large international operations. Her international clients operate primarily in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.

She has assisted clients with initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, and private placements of debt and equity. Alex has experience in US GAAP and IFRS as well as UK GAAP.
