September 2026 IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard Update available
The September 2026 IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard Update has been made available. It highlights key developments relating to the third edition of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard, including a detailed spotlight on accounting for agricultural activities, particularly the treatment of biological assets and bearer plants.
The Update also provides an overview of the proposed Exposure Draft Consolidation Exception, announces a call for new SME Implementation Group members (SMEIG), outlines recently published educational resources and webcasts supporting implementation of the revised Standard, and notes the continued global adoption of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard, which is now required or permitted in 88 jurisdictions following Samoa’s adoption.
