July 2021 IFRS Foundation Trustees meeting summary available

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation met on 26 July 2021 to review progress towards the proposed establishment of an International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) within the governance structure of the IFRS Foundation.
In particular, the Trustees discussed arrangements for seed capital for the new board. The Trustees welcomed the support expressed and seed capital offered for the proposed ISSB by the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada in his letter on behalf of the Government of Canada. They also confirmed that they would welcome by the end of August 2021 expressions of interest from other jurisdictions or organisations in providing seed capital for the ISSB.
