ISSB February 2026 meeting update
The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) met virtually on 25–26 February 2026.
The ISSB agreed to rename the ‘Biodiversity, ecosystems and ecosystem services’ project to ‘Nature‑related disclosures’ and supported to address all proposed terms and concepts in the exposure draft. The ISSB also agreed that the project package of materials should include additional guidance.
The ISSB confirmed it will continue with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Standards enhancement project in line with its 2024–2026 work plan. It set the exposure draft with a 120‑day comment period and agreed that amendments will become effective 12–18 months after issuance, with early adoption permitted.
