IASB to undertake narrow-scope standard-setting on supplier financing arrangements
25 June 2021
During its meeting held on 22-23 June 2021, the IASB voted to undertake narrow-scope standard-setting on supplier financing arrangements. This was in response to the feedback and inputs received from investors, IFRIC and others about investor information needs related to supply chain finance arrangements.
The project would cover the following:
- explain the type of arrangements within its scope
- add new qualitative and quantitative disclosure requirements to IAS 7, Statement of Cash Flows
- add ‘sign-posts’ to existing disclosure requirements in IFRS 7, Financial Instruments: Disclosures
