G7 welcome the ISSB’s work on global baseline

The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors have issued a statement on climate issues in which they underline their commitment to climate action and to mandatory climate-related financial disclosures.
The statement welcomes the global baseline of sustainability reporting standards currently under development by the ISSB. The statement further states that ‘support for the global baseline has the potential to improve information and thus mobilise finance for the needed investments, particularly in emerging and developing economies’.
