ESMA updates oversight of sustainability enforcement readiness

ESMA has released an updated overview showing which national authorities comply with its Guidelines on Enforcement of Sustainability Information (GLESI). Previously ESMA stated that, given the early-stage challenges, such as differing European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) interpretations, uneven Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) transposition, and ongoing legislative changes, application of the guidelines in the initial years should be proportionate and pragmatic.
