ESMA proposes simplification of EU Taxonomy
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) released its final report providing technical advice to the European Commission (EC) on simplifying key performance indicators under the Taxonomy Disclosures Delegated Act.
ESMA recommends limiting the mandatory operating expenditure KPI to non-capitalised research and development expenditure.
It also proposes simplifying group-level Taxonomy reporting, including removing the weighted-average KPI, and introducing targeted measures intended to make disclosures more proportionate, clearer and easier to use.
The final report has been submitted to the EC for consideration in its review of the Taxonomy Disclosures Delegated Act.
The report and more details are available via the press release.
