EFRAG welcomes its role in the European Commission’s proposal for a new CSRD

The European Commission adopted a package of measures to help improve the flow of money towards sustainable activities across the European Union. The package includes a proposal for a Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This proposal is intended to make sustainability reporting by companies more consistent.
The proposal for CSRD envisages the adoption of EU sustainability reporting standards. The draft standards would be developed by EFRAG.
EFRAG has welcomed the proposals for CSRD and the role envisaged for EFRAG in developing the draft standards.
