EFRAG seeks input on its 2027-2029 sustainability reporting agenda

EFRAG has launched a public consultation to help determine its sustainability reporting priorities and activities from mid-2027 onwards. As the important Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) standard-setting milestones near completion, EFRAG is seeking feedback on how it should focus its future efforts, including implementation support, voluntary sustainability reporting, interoperability with global reporting frameworks, and digital resources such as its Knowledge Hub.

The consultation reflects changes in the sustainability reporting landscape, including the Omnibus I Directive, insights from the first reporting cycles under the CSRD, growing interest in voluntary reporting, and lessons learned from EFRAG’s implementation support work. EFRAG is asking stakeholders to provide views on its strategic direction, future implementation support needs, technical issues that require guidance, and research priorities related to emerging sustainability reporting topics.

Responses are requested by 15 February 2027, and EFRAG expects to issue its 2027-2029 workplan in the second quarter of 2027.
