BDO submits two comment letters in response to IASB documents
04 February 2022
BDO has submitted two comment letters in response to documents issued by the IASB for public comment:
- IASB ED 2021/7 Subsidiaries without Public Accountability: Disclosures
- Request for Information: Post-implementation Review – IFRS 9 Financial Instruments: Classification and Measurement
BDO broadly supports the initiative of the IASB to reduce the disclosures required by certain entities, however, concern has been expressed with regards to the scope of the proposals being too narrow.
BDO submitted various suggestions for topics that the IASB should explore in performing its post-implementation review of IFRS 9’s classification and measurement requirements, including how IFRS 9 should be applied to various sustainability-linked financial instruments.
