BDO has submitted a comment letter to the IASB on Exposure Draft 2021/4 Lack of Exchangeability.
The comment letter supports the Board’s proposals on the requirements around estimating the spot exchange rate when a currency is not exchangeable into another currency. The comment letter also supports the proposed disclosure and transition requirements. The comment letter recommends inclusion of additional illustrative examples to assist preparers in applying the requirements in the proposals.
