Swiss Convention on Social Security Coordination

On 9 September the UK and Switzerland signed a Convention on Social Security Coordination, which supports business and trade by ensuring that cross-border workers and their employers are only liable to pay social security contributions in one state at a time.

The Convention was published on 29 September and can be found here: -

The Convention is expected to enter into force once both states have notified each other that they have complied with all statutory and constitutional requirements with the expected date as yet unannounced but expected by the end of this calendar year.
