BDO has advised Specialist Risk Group on the acquisition of The Channel Partnership.
Specialist Risk Group has acquired The Channel Partnership, the UK-based specialist trade credit insurance broker. The Channel Partnership provides clients with expert advice and solutions to manage their trade credit risk.
The Channel Partnership will join SRG's retail business, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS).
SRG is a fast-growing insurance intermediary group and the acquisition follows the announcement in December 2020 of HGGC as the new majority shareholder of SRG, subject to regulatory approval. SRG SRIS was formed in July 2020 following the merger of Miles Smith, The Underwriting Exchange, Square Mile Broking and David Codling. SRG acquired Insolvency Risk Solutions in July 2020, KBIS British Equestrian Insurance in January 2021 and GB Underwriting in January 2021.
