BDO Brazil, together with BDO UK, assisted IHS Towers, one of the largest owners, operators and independent developers of shared telecommunications infrastructure in the world by number of towers, with the Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) of their acquisition of São Paulo Cinco Locação de Torres (SP5), a portfolio company of Grupo Torresur (GTS).
GTS is one of the leading telecommunications infrastructure providers in Brazil and SP5's portfolio includes 2,115 telecommunications towers across Brazil.
São Paulo Cinco Locação de Torres Ltda.’s macrosites have a national footprint in 25 of 27 states and are predominantly in suburban areas across northeast and southern of Brazil. Right after the transaction, IHS Towers owned approximately 7,000 towers in Brazil, in addition to the secondary fiber network that covers approximately 6.4 million homes.
